How do i change my mobile hotspot bandwidth to ghz while im - Microsoft Community - Was this information helpful?
I've also messed around with the network band settings on the edit page and the Wi-Fi adapter configuration settings with no luck. I've tested the issue on Windows 11 and 10 and the issue is the same on both OSs. Any suggestions on what to try next? Although I have tried connecting from a hotspot on my phone and laptop.

Thank you for the thread, although the issue Nathan was having is slightly different to my own. He was unable to select the desired network band he required. Where as I have plenty of options but any attempt to force a 5ghz hotspot via the options fails. So the 2 network cards are different and run a different network protocol. But have you already tried to set Prefferd Band to 6GHz band? Is the result the same when you enable mobile hotspot? What is the Wi-Fi standard of your router?
Try setting Preffered Band to No Preference and in the mobile hotspot settings, set the band to Any available. If the problem persists, try temporarily disabling Bluetooth in Device Manager. I have tried to set 6Ghz as the preferred band but it doesn't affect anything.
